We had a very disappointing experience overall. The service was extremely slow—we were left sitting for quite a while without even drinks, and when the food finally arrived, it came out one dish at a time instead of together.

There was also confusion with the drinks. I ordered a cider from the alcoholic menu, but was brought a 0% version instead. After pointing it out, I ordered a glass of wine, but the cider was left on the table and still added to the bill. When I asked to have it removed since I hadn’t ordered or consumed it, I was told I would still be charged half price, which didn’t feel appropriate.

Unfortunately, the food didn’t make up for the experience. It was generally bland—the salad was overly vinegary, the pickled beets tasted off, and the seafood was quite dried out. None of the five of us were satisfied with our meals.

They did offer a complimentary dessert, which we appreciated, but when we tried to order crêpes, they were already sold out—another letdown.

Overall, disappointing from start to finish, and we wouldn’t return.

We've been traveling for 5 days so far and our meal(s) at Baratie were our favourite and best so far. The views of the reversing falls are stunning, the service was 5+/5 (huge shout-out to Ola for making everything perfect), and the meals were also 5+ /5 for taste, presentation, and value. I had the 3-course dinner special of chicken shawarma plate and my wife had the 3-course falafel special. Both included soup or salad, the main course (a good variety to choose from), a baklava with pistachio crumble, and a non-alcoholic drink. I'd go out of my way to revisit this place! If you get a chance to go upstairs and out into the skywalk viewing deck, do it!
